Taking the first step towards therapy should never be seen as a moment of weakness—rather, it reflects true strength of character.

The initial step in this journey is the courage to seek help. While it may feel empowering, it’s natural for it to also feel a little daunting. Rest assured, the most meaningful progress happens when we talk things through with the reassurance that you will be met with empathy, understanding, and no judgment.

Whether you're struggling with vague feelings of dissatisfaction or focusing on a specific issue, I offer a safe, confidential space where you can openly discuss your thoughts and emotions, free from judgment and prejudice.

From Darkness to Dawn: My Journey to Healing and Hope

I know the weight of it firsthand. The suffocating grip of anxiety, the deep ache of depression, the relentless pull of addiction, the raw wound of grief. There was a time when these shadows felt all-consuming, when reaching out for help felt like admitting defeat, a glaring sign of failure. But in that perceived weakness, I found my greatest strength. Seeking support wasn't an admission of failure; it was the courageous first step towards healing. With the guidance of a compassionate counsellor, I began to confront the roots of my struggles. Slowly, painstakingly, I started to untangle the knots of pain, to find glimmers of light where once there was only darkness.

This journey of self-discovery and healing wasn't just about overcoming my challenges; it ignited a profound sense of purpose within me. I realised that my experiences, though difficult, had uniquely equipped me to understand and support others navigating similar terrain. This realisation led me to train as a counsellor, working in areas of addiction and homelessness, gaining invaluable experience in the complexities of the human experience.

Now, in my private practice, including offering Online counselling and walk-and-talk therapy in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, I have the privilege of walking alongside individuals on their paths to well-being. It is an honour to witness their courage, their resilience, and their capacity for growth. I learn as much from my clients as they hopefully learn from our sessions. Their journeys inspire me daily.

My story is a testament to the fact that mental health challenges, while they can feel overwhelming, do not define us. They can shape us into more empathetic, resilient, and purposeful individuals.

So, if you are struggling under the weight of your challenges, please know this: you are not alone.

Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness, but an act of profound strength and self-compassion. Healing is possible, and with the right support, you too can find your way from darkness to dawn.

Please feel free to contact me today. I am here to listen, to understand, and to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and hope.
