Supporting You Through Counselling

As an integrative counsellor, I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support your mental health in a way that is personalised to your unique needs, challenges, and goals. No two people are the same, and your counselling journey should reflect that. Together, we will explore the most effective tools and perspectives to help you restore balance, build resilience, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Taking the first step into therapy is a deeply brave and empowering decision. It’s a sign of strength — a commitment to your wellbeing and growth. Still, it’s natural to feel uncertain or even anxious about reaching out. That’s why I offer a safe, compassionate, and confidential space where you will be met with understanding, empathy, and no judgment.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, low mood, grief, addiction, relationship issues, or just sensing that something in your life needs to change, I’m here to walk alongside you. You don’t need to have all the answers — just the willingness to explore what’s possible.

In our work together, we’ll gently uncover what’s holding you back, while also focusing on your strengths, values, and the inner resources that can help you move forward. My integrative approach allows us to adapt the counselling process to suit you — not the other way around.

Taking the First Step Towards Counselling

Starting therapy is not a sign of weakness — it’s a powerful act of strength and self-awareness. Choosing to prioritise your mental health shows courage, especially when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or emotionally draining.

Taking that first step can feel both empowering and a little daunting — and that’s completely natural. You may not have all the answers right now, and that’s okay. What matters is your willingness to seek support and begin the journey.

In our work together, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential counselling space where you are free to express your thoughts and emotions openly. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, addiction, or a general sense of dissatisfaction or disconnection, you don’t have to face it alone.

As an experienced counsellor, I offer empathetic, professional support tailored to your unique needs. Together, we will explore what’s holding you back, identify practical ways forward, and work towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Integrative Counselling with Specialist Support for Men’s Mental Health

As an integrative counsellor, I combine various evidence-based therapeutic approaches to create a warm, genuine, and safe space where you feel truly heard and understood. I offer clear boundaries and compassionate support, allowing you to explore your challenges, heal, and grow at a pace that suits you.

I have extensive experience in male counselling, supporting men who may find it difficult to express vulnerability or seek help due to social pressures or stigma around mental health. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, or relationship difficulties, my goal is to provide a confidential, non-judgmental environment where you can reconnect with your authentic self and build resilience.

Anxiety UK-Approved Therapist

I am proud to be an Anxiety UK-approved therapist, offering dedicated therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. As part of this role, I am regularly monitored by Anxiety UK to ensure that my professional qualifications, clinical supervision, ongoing professional development, insurance, and membership with my professional body are all kept current and meet their rigorous standards.

Commitment to Ethical, High-Quality Counselling

I am a Registered and Accredited Member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and strictly adhere to their Ethical Framework for good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside the NCPS’s Professional Conduct Procedure. This commitment ensures that the therapy I provide is not only effective but also conducted to the highest professional and ethical standards.

I continuously engage in:

  • Regular clinical supervision

  • Ongoing professional development (CPD)

  • Keeping up to date with the latest therapeutic practices and research

This dedication means you receive safe, ethical, and high-quality counselling tailored to your needs.

Taking that first step should never be considered a moment of weakness instead, it shows the true strength of character.

From Lived Experience to Professional Practice

My background includes many years working in the addictions and homelessness sectors, where I gained real-world experience of the complex emotional, psychological, and social challenges people face every day. These experiences gave me a deeper understanding of trauma, resilience, and recovery — and shaped the integrative, compassionate way I now work as a counsellor.

Today, I run a private counselling practice offering:

  • Online Counselling for Men and Women

  • Walk-and-Talk Therapy in Oxfordshire (Witney, Burford, Carterton, and surrounding areas)

  • Support for anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, and life transitions

Whether you’re silently struggling or ready to dive into deep emotional work, I provide a safe, confidential space where you can be heard without judgment. I meet you where you are, and we move at your pace — together.

Why Work With a Male Counsellor?

Many men find it hard to open up. Whether because of social conditioning, fear of vulnerability, or not knowing where to begin, the idea of therapy can feel uncomfortable. I’ve been there too — and that’s why I offer a space that feels grounded, real, and free from pressure or pretence.

As a male therapist who specialises in men’s mental health, I’m here to support you through:

  • Anxiety and panic attacks

  • Low mood and depression

  • Addiction and recovery

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship struggles and anger issues

  • Low self-worth or lack of direction

You don’t need to carry it all on your own.

Walking Beside You on Your Path to Healing

Whether we’re meeting online or walking side-by-side in the Oxfordshire countryside, it is a genuine privilege to support clients on their healing journeys. I learn something from every person I work with — their courage, honesty, and growth are what inspire me every single day.

If you’re ready to take that first step — or even just considering it — know that you’ll be met with compassion, understanding, and real support.

My story is a testament to the fact that mental health challenges, while they can feel overwhelming, do not define us. They can shape us into more empathetic, resilient, and purposeful individuals.

So, if you are struggling under the weight of your challenges, please know this: you are not alone.

Reaching out for support is not a sign of weakness, but an act of profound strength and self-compassion. Healing is possible, and with the right support, you too can find your way from darkness to dawn.

Please feel free to contact me today. I am here to listen, to understand, and to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing and hope.
